Wedding Blues

I can’t help but notice blue is back in a big way!  Every color of blue, aqua, navy – every shade and tone.  It is also a perfect color for a wedding quilt, not too feminine for men and just soft enough for women.  I have been lucky enough to design a few custom wedding quilts and if there is one thing I’ve learned, keep the colors soft, neutral and traditional – blue fits perfect!  The other color that is sooo popular this year is White – I’ve always loved white for my backgrounds – the tone on tones add charm and grace to any quilt.  White can also been a sharp choice for contrast.  Although I rarely use tone on tone, I generally pick a white with a soft bit of color for the background beauty I’m looking for – even though I love the warm creams and yellow too, its nice to see the brightness of white.  if you have a wedding in your future, here’s some of my favorites….
